How much will my property rent for?
The rental market is similar to the real estate market. One cannot just randomly pick a number and say “this is what I want for it.” There are a few different things that contribute to what you can get for rent. There are three primary factors when considering the rental rate:
- We compare your property with other available rental properties that are similar
- What are the benefits of your property over another property
- What is the marketing exposure to generate the highest return
After viewing your property, we will do a market analysis to set a recommended starting price. We evaluate the interest and progress and the response. The most common factors that determine slow interest are price and the season. In Maine, the hardest time of year to find a renter is between November and February.
